2008-2009 Curling notes from your President

Welcome!

Another curling season will begin on Nov. 10, 2008, starting off with wobble days which offer a chance for everyone to give the sport a try at no charge on Nov. 10, 12 and 13. Regular league curling begins the following week (Nov. 17, 2008). Register your team as soon as possible, as the deadline is Nov. 13.
In addition to many other events during the curling season, the club will be celebrating the 100th year of curling at its present location throughout 2009. To keep you informed of upcoming events we have calendar posted in the lounge area of the curling club to help you plan your winter activities.
The first major event on our calendar is the annual Bathurst Junior Open Cashspiel, from Nov. 14-16. There is no charge to come out and watch some of the best young curlers in the province compete.
For more information on becoming a member of the Bathurst Curling Club call the club at 546-5665, and please feel free to leave a message if no one answers.
A complete application form for the 2008-2009 season is on the flip side of this letter. Please take the time to complete it and mail it to the address below, or drop it off at the curling club during wobble days.
If your company wishes to form a team in one of our Commercial leagues, that curl either Tuesday or Thursday evenings at 7 p.m., contact the club for extra membership forms or call the club for more information.
