Curling club event

We thank Peter Assaff and The Northern Light for the following information.

Bathurst Mayor Stephen Brunet was one of the first people to pick up his membership as the Bathurst Curling Club opened it's doors for it's 100th season on St. Andrew Street. Shown from left are Maxine Craig, New Brunswick Curling Association chair for the North East Zone; Mayor Brunet; and Claude LeBlanc, membership chair for the Bathurst Curling Club.



If you wish particpate as a curler we have free curling clinic for all every Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more informaiton please contact at

6th Annual Bathurst Junior Curling Cashspiel

To all our participating teams "Thank You", also a "Thank You" to all supporting parents, without whom this spiel would not be such a success.

We must not forget our sponsors and they are: Ace Hydrolic, Brunswick Mining,
Industrial Rubber, Pressure Kleen, North Shore Welding, Keystone Development,
Wal-Mart, City Center and Sunny Corner Enterprise Inc.

The final results are:
Girls first place The Howard Rink
Girls second place The Daigle Rink

Boys first place The Mallais Rink
Boys second place The Trites Rink.

Thanks to all from our first time spiel organizer Gisele and Michel Godin for a job well done. We also thank our Ice maker Alvin Lavigne and Ice helper Brendon Sealy. We must not forget the Kitchen volunteers of Dale & Mona Glendenning and Rita McGrath, and last but not least the club's all round organizer Emile Babineau.

All of you are now part of our 100 Anniversary History Celebrations.
